Boost Sales for your Dollar Plus Store
One of the best ways to keep customers excited and returning to your dollar plus store more frequently is by offering sales, special events and discounts. It doesn’t require a huge bank account to develop a strategy that is interesting and offers variety to your shoppers. It does take a little pre-planning and some effort. You’ll find the results associated with consistently holding creative events and sales will more than meet your expectations. If you’d like to create a little added excitement for your shoppers and increase your dollar store profits, then read on. In this article I present boost sales for your dollar plus store.
One of the sure-fire ways to keep shoppers excited and returning more frequently is by promoting the ‘good old days’ by rolling your prices on special items back to the good old dollar store days. Offer selected items at reduced prices on a regular basis. Knowing you have new surprises waiting at the one dollar price will keep shoppers coming to your dollar plus store. Done right, you’ll still have dollar store profits on the items you promote.
Keep this strategy going by rotating throughout your store. An effective way to manage this process is to focus on one or two items in a couple of departments each week. Your shoppers will soon learn there are always special deals going. They will start coming just to search for the latest sale items. Make it easy to find those items for those who do come into the store. After all, you want to reinforce the bargains available by making sales to those shoppers.
Shoppers will add to their total purchase by selecting other items as they walk through your store. The search for those specials will often result in many added sales for your dollar plus store. With those extra sales will come even more dollar store profits.
Another strategy that can really produce sales results for your dollar plus store is matching products together at a special price. You can package a regular product with an accompanying complementary product for a package sale price. This is especially good when you are able to sell the package deal at the one-dollar price-point. Consider offering items that are selling very slowly, that you are overstocked on, or that just plain don’t sell to an item that’s red-hot and accomplish two very different tasks. One; you eliminate products that aren’t selling. Two; you increase customer satisfaction by offering a great price. Over time this strategy can build total sales and dollar store profits for your business.

Online Store Owners – Using Affiliate Tracking Software to Increase Sales
Although managing an online store can deem to be very profitable, it is not a very easy venture. With all the competition in the online market, a lot of business owners are having a hard time in earning a substantial income from their business online, particularly for those owners of smaller businesses. If you are finding yourself in a slightly similar situation, then do not give up that easily. There are a lot of other methods to increase the online sales of your business. That would be through the use of a good affiliate tracking software program.
Affiliate tracking software programs have the primary goal of helping you as a business owner to understand exactly where your online sales are from. This is essential, especially if you have numerous affiliates. Affiliates are webmasters, website owners or web publishers. As you start an affiliate program of your own, it is very likely that you would be working with these individuals. You would be working with them as you give them banners and links directing to your online store. Using special software, which is the affiliate tracking software, the links and banners that you provide would be coded and then monitored. The affiliate tracking software would then be able to know which of the affiliates you have has assisted in generating a sale for your business.
It would be advisable to do some research and evaluation on the different available tracking software programs so that your online store or business would have a significant increase in revenue.

Boosting your Online Store Sales by Adding Digital Downloads
You have a website with an online store, and you’re selling tangible goods – products you ship to customers. Or, you’re thinking of starting such an online business. If your site is up and running, you may not be satisfied with the amount of money your small business is making. If your business is only in the planning stage, you might be concerned that your online store won’t be bringing in enough money. Whether you already have a business or are just getting ready to start one, your thoughts have probably turned to trying to determine how you can get the most profit from a website.
Unless you’ve found one unique, well-priced item, you no doubt offer, or will offer, a few or several products for sale. No matter how few or how many products you have, the effort you spend trying to think of additional related products to sell will be time well spent. For ideas, enter keywords related to your business in a search engine and find out what products other similar sites are selling. If you find any new products you can obtain and suitably mark-up in price (consider buying in bulk to get a good price), of course you’ll want to add those products to your online store.
Upping the number of products you sell is a good step. But to make more money you will want to consider doing more – and doing something that differentiates you from the many other web businesses you’re likely to be competing with. That ‘something different’ is offering your customers intangible products – digital downloads. By selling both shippable products and downloadable files, your business will really stand out from the crowd.
What files should you sell? The most obvious candidates are e-books. If a customer is interested in a product you sell, that same customer may very well be interested in an e-book that discusses that product. You have two routes to take to obtain e-books: buy them or write them yourself.
Authors have already written e-books on hundreds of topics, including crafts and hobbies, beauty and fashion, entertainment, health and fitness, pets and pet care, and religion and spirituality. Search for existing e-books that are related to products you sell, and also make sure the e-books you find include ‘resell rights.’ Having resell (or resale) rights means you can buy the e-book once, and then sell it as many times as you want.
You don’t have to be a professional author in order to write your own e-book. If you have a passion for the products you sell, then you probably possess an in-depth knowledge of the subject of your products. Consider typing up a ‘How To’ guide, saving it as a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) file, and selling it from your website for a few dollars.
Regardless of what digital downloads you decide to sell, you’ll need a means of allowing customers to purchase and download those files. If your website business is already up and running you’ll want to find a service that allows you to upload a file to sell as a digital download. Such services charge either a monthly fee for this service, or keep some percentage of each sale. If you haven’t yet created your online business, or are considering revamping an existing business, consider finding a web host that provides a website builder that includes a shopping cart and online store that allows for selling both shippable products and downloadable files.
Don’t miss out on the potential for some high markup sales, and easy, extra income. If your website is selling products, but isn’t also selling digital downloads, consider selling downloadable files along with the shippable products you already sell.
